Our Story

Welcome to Burritoville, a beloved family-owned Mexican restaurant proudly serving DeKalb, IL, and the surrounding communities since 2002. Founded by Rudolfo, a lifelong culinary enthusiast with deep roots in authentic Mexican cooking, Burritoville was built on a passion for sharing traditional flavors and family recipes from his homeland with the local community. From our flavorful burritos and tacos to our signature tortas and fresh seafood dishes, every meal we serve is made with love, dedication, and the unmistakable taste of home.

Rudolfo’s story is one of hard work, perseverance, and family pride. Growing up in Mexico, he spent his childhood helping his grandfather at the family’s taco stand—a place where he first discovered the joy of cooking and serving others. Surrounded by the sizzling sounds of the grill and the aromas of fresh ingredients, Rudolfo learned that good food has the power to bring people together. Years later, inspired by his family members in Illinois who were also part of the restaurant industry, he made the move to the United States to pursue his dream. In his 20s, he opened Burritoville, putting in long days and nights to make his vision a reality. Today, his son Irving proudly continues the legacy, helping run the business and keeping their family’s traditions alive.
